Since the beginning of the covid-19 crisis, Oxford Yoga has been running yoga classes on the internet.

Carried out on zoom, the first part of our lessons concentrate on relaxation and breathing, focusing on bringing the body, mind & soul into the room. This allows the person to let go of the everyday stresses and strains that we all carry around with us subconsciously. These classes not only address the physical aspects of yogic movement, but also heavily integrate the most important aspects of meditation and mindfulness.
In the second part of the class, the emphasis is more on floor based movement, with specific focus on different areas of the body and related muscle groups. Attention is given to feet, legs, hips, sitting bones, back, shoulders, arms, neck and core.
The final half hour of the session starts with specific sitting poses, then moving onto a more invigorating standing session, and then finally ending with a body scan embedded with a loving kindness meditation towards ourselves and all beings.
